Whispers of Presence marks a pause—a transitional moment in which the everyday object breaks its silence and, under the subject’s gaze, finds its voice. This exhibition convenes works that reconsider objects not as passive artifacts, but as fields of lived and remembered experience. Here, identity does not reside in the face but is sedimented within the material traces of things; time is rearticulated through accumulated layers of paint.
In these works, place is not merely a backdrop but a cultural horizon—a lived environment, a home, and a condition of presence through which objects come into being. Each painting stages a dialogue between memory and present, between touch and distance. It is within this suspended exchange that the subject, in relinquishing authority, allows the object to assert its presence—and in doing so, encounters transformation.
